Thai Transport Twins

Thai Transport Twins is a UK-Thailand partnership aimed at building long-term collaboration to support Thailand’s transport decarbonisation transition. This pump-priming project brings together researchers from the University of Glasgow (UoG), Asian Institute of Technology (AIT), and Thammasat University (TU) to share expertise across digital modelling, environmental sensing, and socio-economics. Central to the project is capacity building through the training of two Thai interns and joint workshop with transport stakeholders. By fostering mutual understanding of technical, social, and policy contexts, the partnership will create a foundation for future collaborative research, strengthen institutional ties, and position the team to pursue external funding.
